Afrox will once again be offering exclusive specials geared to the needs of cost-conscious farmers who service and maintain their own equipment at the NAMPO Harvest Day this year.
In addition to showcasing the latest cutting, welding and fabrication products on the market, Afrox specialists will be on hand to discuss the most suitable processes and applications to meet their individual needs. Farmers will achieve real savings on own-fabrication of their ploughs, scarifiers and other farming equipment.
“Today’s sophisticated processes definitely require the kind of specialist technical support that Afrox is able to offer,” comments Business Manager for Manufacturing Industries, Johan Pieterse. “Different materials require specific welding consumables and this influences the welding machine set-up, as well as the shielding gases required. The wrong product choice could cause failure in the field, making the self-sufficiency option expensive, with re-fabrication and downtime costing the farmer dearly. It makes sense to buy a trusted brand, such as Afrox’s top quality products, to help grow your farming business for many years to come.”
“We are looking forward to advising farmers on solutions to their welding and cutting problems and to demonstrating the very latest in welding and safety technologies. Our advice can save farmers money in the long run and improve the reliability and durability of farming fabrication techniques,” adds Pieterse.
A highlight on the stand this year is ‘Die Nutsman’ Riaan Venter who will be accompanying the Afrox experts in demonstrating MIG welding with sophisticated Miller machines, quality Afrox MIG 6000 welding wire and high purity Argoshield shielding gas. Riaan will also be endorsing the Vitamax brand, his only recommendation for mild steel electric arc welding applications
“Farmers interested in the latest equipment technology, such as MIG welding machines and plasma cutting should make a point to visit the Afrox stand,” says Afrox Arc Equipment Product Manager Shaun Christian.
The Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster range of plasma systems for efficient cutting will also be showcased. The Afrox stand will display a complete gas equipment range for welding and brazing, including a quality range of accessories that complement the welding machines.
Afrox has also recently introduced two new welding machines to its Transarc range of DC inverters which will be on display at the stand. These robust and reliable portable power sources harness the latest global advances in inverter technology. The machines’ high duty cycle makes them ideally suitable for both maintenance and production environments in African work conditions.
Visitors to the stand will also get a chance to enter a competition and stand a chance to win great prizes.
“Safety is our highest priority and we urge our farming customers to take the same approach and speak to us about ensuring that everyone using welding equipment on the farm is appropriately equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE),” says Pieterse.
Industrial accidents can be avoided, which is why Afrox believes that safety is 100 per cent of our behaviour, 100 per cent of the time.
Afrox, Africa’s leading gases and welding company, is committed to forging sustainable partnerships with farmers to ensure continued success of this vital industry.
